Zippin Prototype

Project:  Zippin – Prototype

Location: Sacramento CA – Golden 1 Center – Home of the Sacramento Kings

Scope:

  • Assist with constructing the prototype and working through any issues or changes needed
  • Install Exterior shell
  • Anchor pop up to concrete floor (Seismic)
  • Skin outer shell of walls
  • Install Interior components
  • Run tracks for electrical and data

Duration: We invested a fews days constructing the prototype in MN and then 3 days in Sacramento CA for the initial installation.

Objective:  Work through the potential issues ahead of time to coordinate a quick and efficient installation on site.  The intent was to get this up and running quickly so the concept could prove itself to its end users.

Details:  This was one of the first attempts at this concept in real life application.  The concept was a touchless pop up to expedite the concession process.  The pop up was equipped with a number of cameras to track movement inside the pop up location while the weighted shelves were in place to track inventory and purchases.  Anytime working with a new concept there are challenges to overcome.  We worked long days with the fixture manufacturer to work out any and all kinks to get this unit operational and ready to begin generating revenue.
